The Old and The New

Re 20:15 If anyone was not found written in the

book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

Re 21:1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for

the first heaven and the first earth have passed

away, and the sea is no more.

2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down

out of heaven from G-d, made ready as a bride

adorned for her husband.

3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying,

"Behold, G-d`s tent is with men, and he will

dwell with them, and they will be his people, and

G-d himself will be with them as their G-d.

4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Death will be no more; neither will there be

mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The

first things have passed away.

5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I make

all things new." He said, "Write, for these words

are faithful and true."

6 He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and

the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give

freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of

the water of life.

7 He who overcomes, I will give him these things.

I will be his G-d, and he will be my son.

8 But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners,

abominable, murderers, sexually immoral,

sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part

is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur,

which is the second death."

Yesterday, I was reading this passage with my
boys. As usual, they were distracted with about
anything and everything else, other than what I
was saying to them. And questions like, What
happened to the sea?

It's a complicated question, and there is no
direct explanation given in the passage. So,
I just pointed out that this passage says that
it's a NEW heaven and earth. It will be
different than the one we see now.

This event takes place at the very end of this
age, and the beginning of the real New Age. This
is a description of the 5th dimension, that I
wrote about the other day. The universe that we
see around us now will collapse and then be
replaced with an entirely new system. But note
that the first verse 20:15, says that there will
be a special place made for those who have chosen
to reject G-d and his plan. They will be
confined to a space called 'the lake of fire'.
G-d will put an end to the rebellion against his
rule in the new age.

The part that gets my attention is verse 4.
There is a passage in Isaiah that provides
another view of the new system, where
'former things shall not be remembered'.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a

new earth; and the former things shall not be

remembered, nor come into mind.

18 But be you glad and rejoice forever in that

which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem a

rejoicing, and her people a joy.

19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my

people; and there shall be heard in her no more

the voice of weeping and the voice of crying.

20 There shall be no more there an infant of

days, nor an old man who has not filled his days;

for the child shall die one hundred years old,

and the sinner being one hundred years old shall

be accursed.

21 They shall build houses, and inhabit them; and

they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of

them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit;

they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the

days of a tree shall be the days of my people,

and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their

hands.

23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth

for calamity; for they are the seed of the

blessed of Yhwh, and their offspring with them.

24 It shall happen that, before they call, I will

answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will

hear.

25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and

the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust

shall be the serpent`s food. They shall not hurt

nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says Yhwh.

Walvoord says that this is the Millennial period.
That is the period of time between the return of
Christ and the final judgement described in
Revelation 20.

What I take away from these two passages is that
there is an end to all that we see around us.
And it will be replaced by something better. It
won't be a gradual process. It's described as a
sudden event. From Rev.21:4 and Isaiah 65:17
the current system will be forgotten.

How can you forget everything? Here and now,
that's often a source of pain. Remembering all
your mistakes and other's mistakes is a source of
grief. It's not just because it's difficult to
forgive -- it is. But you know that in spite of
your best intentions, you're going to do it
again. In my case, I tend to remember the things
I want to forget and forget the things I want to
remember.

As I think
about it and try to describe this to my boys, I
took this approach. They went to the pizza place
the other day with the big game room and all
that. I told them, it will be like that. When
they were in the game room and running around
they didn't think about anything else. They were
too busy having fun. That's the way that it will
be in the new heaven and earth. We will be so
taken up in the wonder of it all, we won't have
time to remember all the stuff that happened
here. And by comparison, the new place will be
alot more exciting than anything we've ever seen
here. It'll be perfect. Nothing will ever
break. Nothing will ever run out. The plumbing
will never back up. The candy dish will always
be full. Talk about a release from the curse of
sin. It will all be forgotten. Replaced by
something much better.

Mt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither

marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like

God`s angels in heaven.

There won't be anyone looking over your shoulder
making sure you aren't having too much fun
either! Are there motorcycles in heaven? MX?
That's one of my silly questions.

Yesterday, I found this.

While scientists are still deciphering the

function of most of the 30,000 human genes,

researchers estimate that each gene can give

instructions for as many as 100 different

proteins.

On top of that, every organ has a different

distribution of proteins, and the distribution

changes frequently...

"By its nature, proteomics is highly parallel,

meaning that you are moving beyond the stage of

studying proteins one by one" and following what

used to be considered linear metabolic pathways,

Nolan said. The pathways, he noted, are

"incredibly interconnected, and they are subtle,

and they are beyond what we can study in the test

tube.

"Proteomics takes a less subjective view. It

says, 'We don't know what the right proteins are.

So let's take a global picture of the things

(cell type and pathways and systems) that are

turning on and off in the course of disease

states and see if we can sort the answer out from

above,' " Nolan said. "It's kind of like watching

city traffic patterns from above" so the picture

is more comprehensive.

"Cells don't work in linear pathways, they work

in gestalt: It happens all at once."

--->

Take note of that last statement. It's a
crucial concept to get hold of. A 'simple' cell
has about 50,000 simultaneous chemical processes.
These are NOT linear processes. In other words,
a cell does not proceed from step 1 to step
50,000 in a linear sequence, as in a
recapitulation of the supposed evolutionary
advance.

'It happens all at once', as in a recapitulation
of the creation event. Whoa!!! As the Fonze
would say.

Of course, any theory of origins is all a matter
of faith, since we were not there to see it
happen, and are not able to reproduce it in a
lab.

What is not a matter of faith is a grasp of the
probability of something like this happening in
a random process. What're the odds? Nil. Even
if we wait a billion years? Nil. Even if we
wait a trillion years? Nil. Besides, as soon
as you throw in the entropy factor, time begins
to work against the process, rather than in its
favor. That's why, for instance, we can't
collect dinosaur DNA. So the odds are even more
diminished as you add other significant, well
established factors beyond random molecular
chemical bonding probabilities.

Yes, evolution really doesn't even have a decent
case. That's why it was seriously abandonded
many years ago as a working theory of origins,
except as a textbook doctrine. It's only an
assertion of faith, as in the doctrine of
materialism. It's kinda' obvious if you have a
handle on the science. But, why rock the boat?
We're all friends here.
